Important steps:
1.
Try and have an idea of your budget - Always remember not to over capitalize unless you are staying for the long run. Usually 10 years or more.
2.
Allocate both time and money to have the plans drawn up separately from the extension work.
3.
Remember to allow time for plans, and council approvals, generally around 4 months.
4.
Remember to get your prices from the builder early and have a proper building contract drawn up, ensuring all aspects of your selection are documented.
5.
Set both start and finish dates with the builder as early as possible.
