Do we charge Call out Fees for Domestic work?
No we do not charge for call out fees, except under the following 2 circumstances.
1. After hours work unplanned for emergency breakdowns (At the request of the customer).
2. For a priority service during the day for when a tradesperson is required to leave their job immediately to attend a higher priority task (At the request of the customer).
Do we charge Call out Fees for Commercial work?
Yes, we charge an initial call fee for Commercial Work, and the reason is that it generally is of a higher priority in nature and requires our administration to reorganise work and redirect trades people to meet the needs of the commercial client.
Do we charge for Quotes?
No we do not charge for quotes, however there is a time when misunderstanding can occur as listed in the following example.
A call is placed for us to look at a job for repair, a diagnosis is carried out to determine the fault, and then a quote is done. There is a charge for the service of diagnosing, not the quote, but this does sometimes cause confusion. No charge for the quote, but there is a charge for the work to determine the fault if not already known.
